This year we were on the working multidisciplinary  group, which has drafted the new evidence based clinical guideline, for skin psoriasis and PsA, SIGN IS SCOTTISH INTERCOLLEGIATE GUIDELINES NETWORK, and it is a Scottish clinical guideline, this is the first ever here for pso/PsA, PSALV,

Psoriasis Scotland e-petitioned our parliaments petitions committee-at Holyrood, for this guideline, two years ago

World Psoriasis Day 2008

Psoriasis Scotland held a reception at Scottish Parliament and met Shona Robison, Health Minister in Scotland,
to ask  for support to addressing psoriasis, at the global level in the World Health Organization,
WHO as a part of the global WPD campaign with the purpose to get WHO to recognize psoriasis as a
severe chronic, non-communicable disease and include psoriasis in the WHO Strategy for prevention
and control of non-communicable diseases.  We had an article in Edinburgh News about a famous
Comediennes mission to highlight the problem of stigmatisation by including stories about her mother,
a psoriasis patient, in her show. We also had information meetings and other happenings,
as well as distribution of material.
