Burden of disease - theme for WPD

Burden of disease will be the theme for World Psoriasis Day 2008. IFPA will arrange WPD Supporters Training Meeting in Istanbul May 24-25 where the plans for the celebrations of World Psoriasis Day 2008 will be discussed and finalized. 

The focus for WPD 2008 will be to perform a global joint political action for the World Psoriasis Day 2008. As inspiration and model for this global activity we will use the successful "Capitol Hill Day-concept" by the National Psoriasis Foundation, USA.
This action will be backed up with other national activities that will attract the media and raise public awareness.

The WPD Supporters Training Meeting in Istanbul will provide the National Psoriasis Associations with knowledge and education to implement the planned activities at their own national level. The meeting will include both lectures by experts in this area and workshops for discussions of given subjects in smaller groups.

All WPD Supporters; all psoriasis associations worldwide that support and celebrate World Psoriasis Day, are welcome to attend the The WPD Supporters Training Meeting in Istanbul.
